Cavallino: the first interaction with the sea stranierina Italian

will tell you a secret: even though I lived in Italy for many years, I've never been to the sea here! Sea Romania: Manet! Then, the turkish sea, and also English sea! But the Italian - nothing! I made a trip to Naples and Capri in 1990, but without the ritual of going to the beach and swim (a sacred rite when you go to sea). Strange, huh?

I decided a few weeks ago, to remedy this "shameful" little problem, and I headed down to the Veneto, precisely Cavallino, Jesolo near. My impressions? Leaving aside some problems with the navigator, arriving at the destination, I had a pleasant surprise. All clean, quiet, beautiful hotels, calm and smiling people, and the warm sea water, especially in the afternoon. Although it was not a luxury resort, where celebrities abound, I had a wonderful holiday. In some ways, reminiscent of the Rumanian beach, in a more clean and less noisy! :-) Now, also depends on what you are looking for. If you want to festivals, clubs and VIP, maybe not the right place. Or at least, did not seem to me. Among the tourists, foreign visitors were generally (especially German and Scandinavian) and households with children. However, it is a place where you can relax and you can shop at discount prices: swimsuits, beach equipment and household, clothing, shoes, and accessories. Do you realize that these things could not escape me! ;-) The last thing I recommend is that no matter where you stay, a place where the food is from God (and still, very convenient) is the restaurant at Hotel Fortuna!

Venice: a city like old times

Since we are on vacation, also began the post dedicated to travel, which could be used both as suggestions, or simply as a shared impressions. I love to travel, explore places never visited, or revise certain places, for "insights". Well, the first place that I have reviewed this summer is a very special beauty of a city: Venice. Venice is famous all over the world to be "a city on water," or, more scientifically, a group of islands situated in the middle of the Venice Lagoon.
From the moment
Venice, the first thing you notice is the crowds of foreign tourists, in summer, can not visit one of the most popular Italian cities. Despite the heat, people stroll, enjoying the fabulous landscape. We stop to admire and to all the photos in front of the Bridge of Sighs, the Palazzo Ducale and Piazza San Marco, in front of the Basilica and the Clock Tower. In addition, Venice is a city very active cultural life: art exhibitions and performances there.

continue walking, you get the feeling of stepping back in time, precisely by Goldoni in the eighteenth century. Boats, gondolas, canals, bridges, narrow streets, shops full of handmade masks creatively, "Venetian" windows ... Small shops abound, and we offer a wide selection of goods typically Venetian: masks of all kinds and all colors, jewelry and other items (lamps, mirrors, picture frames, plates) in Murano glass, at varying prices. For example, a pendant, Murano glass can cost from 20 to 200 Euros. It all depends on how much you are willing to spend!

I wonder how it will live in Venice, and always move in the boat instead of car or the means, both summer and winter. Everything tastes "old," but at the same time, life seems so serene ...
